Questions about our construction recruitment agency
How quickly can a construction recruitment agency get workers to my site?
For labourers, site cleaners and traffic marshals in London we can often have people on site the same day if you call before 10am. Skilled trades and plant operators usually take 24 to 48 hours. Out-of-hours requests go to our 24/7 line on 0333 2422 711.
Do your construction workers hold CSCS cards?
Yes. We check every card on the CSCS Smart Check app before a worker is offered to you, and we hold copies of CPCS, NPORS, SMSTS, SSSTS and other tickets on file. You can ask for card numbers before the first shift.
Who pays the workers and handles CIS or PAYE?
We do. The worker is paid by us, either through PAYE or CIS depending on their status, and you get one weekly invoice. You do not need to run payroll, holiday pay or deductions for agency staff.
What if a worker does not turn up or is not right for the job?
Tell us before 10am and we will send a replacement the same day where possible. If you send someone home in the first four hours because they are not suitable, you will not be charged for those hours.
Do you cover sites outside London?
Yes. We supply construction staff across the UK, including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and most other major towns and cities.
Can I take a temporary worker on permanently?
Yes. Temp to perm is common in construction. A transfer fee may apply depending on how long the worker has been with you, and our terms set this out clearly before the booking starts.
I am looking for construction work. What do I need to register?
Bring proof of your right to work in the UK, a valid CSCS card or the ticket for your trade, proof of address, your National Insurance number and bank details. Steel toe boots, hi-vis and a hard hat are expected on most sites.
How often do construction agency workers get paid?
Weekly. Timesheets signed off by Monday are paid by Friday of the same week, straight into your bank account.
